Submit Your Story

Ever since creating kidsource.org, it has never ceased to amaze me how many families regularly choose to connect with this website. The website now attracts over 13,400 unique visitors per month, and that number continues to rise! It therefore makes sense that I dedicate a section for all visitors to contribute their own writing to. This section is what is known as the guest blog post area and is open to everyone to submit. If you feel like this is something you would like to do, read on for further information, before contacting me at hello@kidsource.org.

What kidsource.org Needs fromIts Contributors

If you would like to contribute to this website, but don’t feel as though you have the relevant qualifications to do so, I urge you to think again. The only qualification that really matters when you submit a guest post to my blog is your family qualification. You’re probably now wondering if I’ve just made that up; but all that you need to be able to offer your expertise is the experience that comes from being part of a family! Nothing more, nothing less. It really is that simple.

I don’t need to know your educational background, whether you attended college, nor your currenttyping speed. None of it is necessary if you want to write for this website. What I do want to know is what you can offer in way of family expertise to the thousands of members that read the blog posts on this website. Put the paragraphs, punctuation and grammar to one side for a moment, and just write about what you know.

These are just some of the categories that I, and my members, are interested in reading guest posts on:

  • Family
  • Parenting
  • Education
  • Games
  • Hobbies
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Pregnancy
  • Teens
  • Food and Recipes
  • Vegan Food
  • Vegetarian Food
  • Health and Medicine
  • Home Sweet Home
  • Pets
  • Lifestyle

Examples of Articles that The Website is Looking For

I have tried to cover as many categories as I can in the above list, but that’s not to say there aren’t many more to explore! If you have some suggestions or ideas for other articles, which would benefit the website’s specific audience, please get in touch with me. I would love to place as much valuable reading materials as possible on this website, to ensure I cater to all visitor requirements.

These are a couple of examples of article types that I know many of the visitors to this website would be encouraged about:

  • Do you think your child would benefit from home-schooling?
  • How to communicate successfully with your teenager.
  • What are the best hobbies to do as a family?
  • Are there any computer or console games that are good for my child’s development?
  • How to manage as a vegetarian family when one member wishes to eat meat.

The Audience You Will Be Writing For

Families! Quite simply, your intended audience is a family. A mother, a father, a grandparent, an aunt, uncle or other guardian responsible for the care and wellbeing of raising a family. As with all responsible families, they want to find good quality information that will help them to raise their children to be decent human beings; after all, our children are the next generation.

Each person that visits this website is looking for encouragement and guidance. They do not want to be preached to about how they should live or raise their children. They merely want access to subjects that relate to their personal circumstances so they can make the right choices for them and their family unit. If you can offer your knowledge in a helpful written piece, I cannot wait to talk with you further.

The Benefits of Writing for The Website

This is the part where I can help you, as you help the thousands of visitors that choose this website. Write for my website and I can personallycredityour efforts in the form of a smallbiography in which you can tell everyone who reads your piece, who you are and what your own story is. I have no intentions of taking the credit for all the hard work that goes into writingyour article, so it will be your name that appears next to your own article, never mine! I think this is only fair by way of thanking you for the time and effort you have taken to help thousands of families.

Perhaps you have a vast amount of experience which you would love to be able to share with the community, or maybe you simply love writing and know you could impart enriching content through your writing style. You may even have a social media account that you want me to link back to, so we can see how you and your family enjoy your time together. Whatever your reason, contribute to my blogand I can assure you of a receptive and friendly audience who are just waiting to read the advice you impart.

Submitting A Blog Post to The Website

I have made submitting blog posts to this website, an easier process. I have found in the past, from experience, that a few people who aren’t quite as tech savvy as they think they need to be, are put off by what they believe is a complicated process in submitting a blog post to a website. This is especially a shame when they have gone to thetrouble of creating a great piece of writing, which will unfortunately never be seen by anybody. I will stress this as much as possible; submitting a blog post to kidsource.org is child’s play!

I do suggest dropping me a line by email first at hello@kidsource.org. This way we can not only discuss your wonderful idea, but I can also offer you further guidance should you need it. Rest assured that you will never have to deal with any of the technical aspects when you write a piece for this website. Myself and the 13,400 plus visitors just want your words of wisdom!

From One Parent to Another

As we are all taking this journey together, I believe that any help we can give one another is bound to be of some help at some point in our lives. With so many people visiting the website daily, write and publish your post here so we can continue to offer all families clear, concise and quality content that they can’t find anywhere else.
